Rick was a fire fighter for 30 years. It was a big part of his life that his family honors and friends rember by nick naming him "Fire Fighter Rick". His passion of pancakes started when he would make them on weekends he wasn't at work. His wife and three daughters all enjoyed the very much.

Even though two of his daughters are grown up and out of the house he still makes his special pancakes for his youngest and her friends when they sleepover. His youngest, Meghan and her group of friends convinced him to open up a breakast place since his pancakes were SO GOOD!

It just so happened that the firestation close to his house was closing since a new one was being built. Everything worked out so that he bought the old station and turned it into Rick's irehouse Pancakes.

Pancakes aren't the only thing he makes. Some of the meals are inspired by what his wife, Irene has made in the past like her special blueberry coffee cake. Together the family has made a successful breakast place for everyone young and old to enjoy!
